of Southern Illinois, Inc.
Hospice is a special kind of care for terminally ill patients in their final stages of life. It treats the physical needs of patients as well as the person's emotional and spiritual needs. Yet, it goes beyond the needs of the patients and helps the family members. Hospice of Southern Illinois provides care for you and your loved ones whether you have insurance or not.
Since 2005, Mr. Bilbrey and his wife have been proud participants in multiple fundraising events held for Hospice of Southern Illinois, Inc. For 28 years, Hospice of Southern Illinois, a not-for-profit organization, has been serving 27 counties in our area.
In October, 2005, Mr. and Mrs. Bilbrey, owners of Bilbrey Farms, Inc. hosted "One Heavenly Evening," a gala event held at their home in Edwardsville,IL. This event included a lovely dinner, auction, music and live entertainment with special guest, Debi Gutierrez, the "Mommy Comic." The evening ended with a spectacular fireworks show. "One Heavenly Evening" raised $194,000.00 for the Relais Bonne Eau project, a 16 bed regional hospice residence currently under construction in Edwardsville,IL. on Illinois Route 143, Edwardsville,IL. The facility was named by the major gift donor, Bon Eau Foundation. "Relais" is French for a country inn catering to wary travelers, while "Bonne Eau" means good water. The grounds for the new center will include a fishing lake, fountains and a waterfall. The Moose Lodge, a membership organization, located next to the facility has pledged to open its kitchen to visitors/family members.
In addition to staff and board members contributing to this campaign, they have received generous leadership gifts, donations from community sponsors and memorials from patients and families to bring them closer to their goal. We are pleased to announce they have less than $500,000.00 remaining to achieve their goal of $7 million. Recently, the Kresge Foundation has extended a challenge grant offering to award up to $400,000.00. This challenge must be met by December 1, 2009 in order to receive the funds from the Kresge Foundation.
Please consider donating to this worthy cause and help us meet this goal. You may pledge your support now and extend it over a 5 year period but defer the first payment until a later date to coincide with your personal financial planning. The Law Offices of Michael R. Bilbrey, P.C enjoy putting their minds to work, even when it is to recall information some may say is useless. The Law Offices of Michael R. Bilbrey, P.C will be taking part in a trivia night for the Madison County Eastern Democrat Organization.
2010 American Lung Association Lung Walk

The 2010 American Lung Association Lung Walk is in just a few months and the Law Offices of Michael R. Bilbrey, P.C. is gearing up for another great year. Last year the firm collected over $1,000. This year we know we can do better.
The walk will be held on May 1, 2010 outside the School of Pharmacy Building at SIUE. Kick-Off and Registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. The walk is to start at the Technology Management Center at 9:00 a.m.
The Law Offices of Michael R. Bilbrey, P.C. plans to put their walking shoes on and join the effort to support the American Lung Association and those who have been diagnosed with this debilitating disease.
